Oper Credits is a European fintech startup backed by leading venture capital firms. It develops cloud-based software that helps banks and mortgage providers digitize their processes, making applications faster, simpler, and more transparent for both lenders and borrowers.

My Projects

During my internship, I worked closely with the COO and finance team on projects that had a direct impact on the company. I:

• Helped prepare investor reports and board materials
• Built tools to track company performance and benchmark against competitors
• Analyzed budgets, expenses, and client revenue trends
• Researched mortgage markets across several European countries
• Contributed to sales presentations and case studies for new products

Reflection

This experience gave me a firsthand look at how a startup operates and grows in a competitive market. I learned that I thrive in fast-paced environments where I have to pick things up quickly and take ownership of real responsibilities. Being trusted with projects like internal financial management and investor reports showed me that I could make a meaningful contribution, even as an intern.

I came away with stronger skills in financial modeling, market analysis, and performance tracking, and I also discovered how much I enjoy working at the intersection of finance and strategy.

What I valued most was the trust placed in me and being able to see my work make a real difference in company decisions. By the end of the internship, I was proud to see the real impact I had made.
